TRUCK WEIGHING

Truck Weighing mode is primarily intended for weighing products transported by vehicles on a Weigh-Truck platform.

The process normally includes two weighings: one to obtain the gross weight, that is, the weight of the vehicle with the product, and another to obtain the tare, which will be the weight of the empty vehicle.

  1. The difference between these two weights makes it possible to obtain the net weight, witch is the actual weight of the transported product.
  2. Although this is the most frequent procedure, there are sometimes operations with only one weighing or with more than two weighings.
SETTING THE OPERATING MODE - NORMAL MODE

Truck Weighing can work in Exclusive or Shared Mode:

https://manual-etvis.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/pt/img/Imagem1.png

You can configure the following fields:

Data selection:
1. Manual: Data selection is done manually;
2. Automatic: If there is data associated with a licence plate, it will be selected automatically.

These are:

All these tabs have a similar interface, described in the following items.

There is also an additional tab called Weighing which will be described in detail in the last item.

  1. SELECTED ELEMENT

This field displays the Licence plate, Entity, Driver or Article that was selected to be used in the Weighing and will be visible in the Weighing Ticket.

  1. LIST OF LAST SELECTED

Provides a list of the last used elements in order to allow the selection of an element more quickly and simply.

https://manual-etvis.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/pt/img/Imagem1.png

If the registration element is part of a weighing in progress, it will be displayed in red. If this licence plate is selected, all the data for that weighing in progress will be loaded.

  1. TABLE OF THE RESPECTIVE SELECTED ELEMENTS

When the button is pressed, a window with the elements available in the table is displayed.

  1. REMOVE SELECTED ELEMENT

Removes the previously selected element.

  1. UPDATE TARE

https://manual-etvis.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/pt/img/Imagem1.png

On the right side, is available the key or button for carrying out the weighing.

When a weighing is carried out, it is possible to preview the receipt and print it.

NORMAL WEIGHING OPERATION

The operations to be carried out are as follows:

  1. The vehicle climbs onto the platform;
  2. Select Normal Weighing mode;
  3. Insert or select from the list the Vehicle Licence PLate;
  4. Optionally, insert or select the Entity, Driver and Article;
  5. Press the key https://manual-etvis.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/pt/img/Imagem1.png to carry out the weighing.

If the first weighing is registered, the process is pending the completion of the second weighing. This process is available in the weighing in progress section in the main menu.

If the second weighing is carried out, the process is considered complete. A receipt will be issued (if the equipment is prepared for it). After finishing the second weighing, the licence plate will be available again to start a new process.

A licence plate can never have more than one weighing in progress.

NORMAL WEIGHING WITH TARE IN MEMORY

ETVIS allows the registration of the tare of vehicles together with the licence plate, which can be used later in the weighing. process. This means that it is not necessary to register the tare in each weighing process, using the previously programmed value instead.

The advantage of this type of process is the time saving spent in weighing the tare, having the disadvantage relatively high that weight differences can occur between the actual tare and the pre-programmed tare.

NORMAL WEIGHT WITH MULTIPLE ITEMS

In cases where vehicles transport more than one type of product, the net weight will have to be calculated individually.

The procedure is as follows:

  1. The vehicle climbs onto the Weighbridge loaded with product A, B, etc;
  2. The vehicle is weighed for the first time. The Gross Weight for product A is recorded;
  3. Product A is removed;
  4. The vehicle is weighed again without product A. The Tare for product A is recorded;
  5. The Net Weight of product A is calculated;
  6. The program asks the operator if he wants to record the weighing of the other item;
  7. If the operator answers affirmatively, the operations described above are repeated with product B;
  8. The operation is repeated for each item in the transport;
  9. When the operator answers in the negative, the weighing process is concluded;

SIMPLE WEIGHING

The simple weighing is very similar to the normal weighing, with the difference that only one weighing is performed, and its purpose is to determine the vehicle’s weight at a given time.
